Simple Joys. Simple Food. Simple Living

Green papaya and tomato stew (vegan, plantbased, gluten-free, grain free )

Based on a dish my brother-in-law once made at the family home in Congo, this is simple yet tasty and very easy to make.

Raw chocolate porridge (vegan, plantbased, high raw, gluten-free )

Filling, high in fibre and healthy fats and super quick to make, this is a great breakfast for when you want to be healthy but still have chocolate!

Banana, peanut butter and oats ‘cookies’ (vegan, high raw, gluten-free, no-bake )

Super super easy and requiring only 4 ingredients and no oven, these are a dream!

Raw Carrot cake (vegan, gluten-free, nut free, raw, no-bake)

An easy carrot cake to make if you don’t have an oven, and unlike other raw cakes this one doesn’t use any nuts. A healthy indulgence and popular with the little ones too!

Kidney bean, vegetable and nori frittata (vegan, gluten-free, grain free )

Filled with fibre and high in protein, this makes a great breakfast and is so easy to make!

Cheezy courgette and potato soup (vegan, gluten-free, grain free )

A light yet filling soup, perfect for an early supper and very quick to make with basic ingredients. Tastes great the next day also!

Sweet potato, peanut butter and double chocolate fudge (vegan, gluten-free, grain free, hormone balance, toddler approved )

Also inspired by @greensmoothiegourmet.
My family absolutely loves this version and it’s a great treat which is still super healthy and won’t spike anyone’s blood sugar!

Sweet potato, peanut butter, ginger and turmeric fudge with dark chocolate chunks (vegan, gluten-free, grain free, hormone balance )

This fudge was inspired by a recipe on the instagram page of @greensmoothiegourmet, she has brilliant recipes and is definitely worth following, go check her out or just Google ‘green smoothie gourmet ‘ to find her website😊. This version is super healthy with a hint of spice.

Easy tomato and basil soup with nori (vegan, plantbased, gluten-free, grain free, hormone balance )

I have been craving a lighter meal, specifically a soup and this one worked just fine!

White bean and chickpea flour fritters with nori (vegan, gluten-free, grain free )

These were a winner with the family and will definitely become a regular meal I think!
