I love exploring local ingredients and this week we found some fresh hibiscus flowers on the market. We made a tea by boiling the flowers and draining the liquid and then my hubby told me that one can also eat them, so I used them in this stew. The texture makes them a good meat replacement so I feel pretty confident that one could use them in most recipes where one would use soya mince or crumbled tofu.
